Back-to-School is coming up in about a week! We are so excited to welcome students back to the 2024-2025 school year.

Freshmen and New Students will report on Abbreviated Day this Friday, August 2nd from 8-10 am.

All students (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors) will report next Tuesday, August 6th for the first day of school. We will be on the same bell schedule as last year. The building will open at 7:15 with the breakfast bell ringing at 7:30. Students will report to class at 7:50, and they must be in their seats before the 8:00 tardy bell when class begins.

Students who have not paid for registration ($10), parking ($25), or computer insurance ($20) need to do that the first day of school. Computer insurance is optional but highly encouraged. For parking on the first day, you may park in the student parking lot and then come to the front office with your forms, proof of insurance, drivers license, and fees. You only pay for parking if you choose to drive to school. Students who need bus information can contact Dr. Hoeke.

Students will eat for free this year for breakfast and lunch due to a special grant received by Greene County Schools. If you want extras or seconds, you will need to have cash or load money into your cafeteria account.

Athletic Director’s Corner:

As the summer heat begins to wane and the crispness of fall fills the air, excitement is palpable at Chuckey-Doak High School. Our fall sports season is gearing up, promising a whirlwind of activity, competition, and school spirit.

First, on the green, our men’s and women’s golf teams are poised to drive their way to success, with promising talent ready to tee off and make their mark. The volleyball team is set to serve up some thrilling matches, showcasing teamwork and tenacity as they spike their way through the season.

Football, the quintessential fall sport, is back with high energy and determination. Our players have trained hard, and the community eagerly anticipates Friday night lights, where every game is a display of grit and togetherness.

Women’s soccer is ready to take the field, blending strategy with athleticism as they aim to outmaneuver their opponents and score those crucial goals. Lastly, our men’s and women’s cross-country teams are prepared to hit the trails, demonstrating endurance and speed over varied terrains.

Each of these sports provides an arena for competition and fosters personal growth, discipline, and school unity. As the Athletic Director, I look forward to watching our student-athletes thrive and excel. Here’s to a fantastic fall sports season at Chuckey-Doak High School!

Go, Black Knights!
