Cheerleaders and Marching Band Create the Energetic Atmosphere

Chuckey Doak High School football games showcase the talents of many different individuals. The cheerleaders put the energy of a crowd into a sequence of choreographed dances and movements while the band produced the sounds that made a loud, and exciting atmosphere for both the football players and audience. The cheerleaders are coached by Coach Carlson while the band is directed by Mr. Brady and Drum Major Charlie Taylor.  The student section also participates in creating a fun environment by wearing themed outfits and dressing up for games.

Mrs. Liz Carlson is the head cheer coach for CDHS, assisted by Mrs. Amber Starrette. We have 17 total cheerleaders.

Trinity Vanhill has been helping out with CDHS cheer for the past few weeks taking videos, different kinds of media, and making amazing videos like this one above! Things that have been brought with her videography are Instagram gameday takeovers, media to The Charger, and many highlights of the team’s stunts and tumbling. She has been doing amazing things and going above and beyond in what she does best, making the cheerleaders look good! 

Mr. Landon Brady is the band director. The band was very loud and proud at the last game. They were doing everything they could to keep the crowd alive, even while we were losing. The band has worked very hard throughout the beginning of this semester to perform to their fullest for Friday night lights. They have spent countless hours perfecting their halftime routine for this year. 

The cheer team and the band meant business Friday night. They were doing everything they could to get the crowd loud. While our football team did fall short, they did their best to keep the positive vibes moving throughout the crowd for their first Friday night lights game at the “black hole.” Again, a big thanks to Randall Sauceman and Ms. P for taking our pictures and videos.
