The Charger Staff Presents: Winter Sports Preview

The time for winter sports is around the corner, and some of our most competitive, and popular sports are in season. Winter sports consist of: Bowing, Girls and Boys Basketball, and Wrestling. 

Bowling Team consists of: Ava Pincombe, Sara Wirt, Prudence Neider, Paxton Shelton, Eric White, Gavin Murray, Hailey Williamson, Hayden Williamcon, Conner Van-Dusen, and Marvin Ledford.  They are coached by Jamie Weems.

Girls Basketball includes Saniah Atchinson, Kennedy Brown, Tayvn Southerland, Layla Fox, Traylyn Southerland, Jayden Myers, Isabelle Karriker, Chloe Kirkpatrick, Khloe Henderson, Sarah Yates, and Jesse Dayton.  Four of the players are seniors: Saniyah Atchison, Kennedy Brown, Layla Fox, Jacy Southerland. They are coached by Dr. Kyle Donahue.

Boys Basketball includes Dom Atchison, Gavin Crum, Blake Lippard, Ben Palazzo, Gage Hill, Ryland Grindstaff, Bradley Caldwell, Grant Bishop, Chance Malone, Mason Henderson, Gavin Murray, and Hannes Miehlke.  They are coached by Sam Broyles.

Wrestling includes Lucy Hall, Josalyn Treadway, Kinley Knight, Liberty Sauceman, Cihanna Nelson, Kaden Steels, Anthony Johnson, Marcus Britt, Lance Lewis, Jayden Britt, Landon Brown, Peyton Mcguire, Chris Bible, Pierce Dodgins, Logan Goins, Jayce Hall, Spencer Nunley, Danny Turberville, Christian Turberville, and Sara Shirey-Wirt.  They are coached by Brett Knight.

Our bowling team started their season earlier than all the other winter sports. Both the boys and girls bowling teams did really well, but the boys went undefeated. They start their playoff here in the next couple of weeks and are so ready to beat the other teams. Gavin Murray has represented Chuckey-Doak well, already winning an individual award.

We are looking forward to watching and cheering on all of these boys and girls all season!  It’s time for winter sports.  Go Black Knights!
