Regional Champions: Chuckey-Doak CCM Team Takes the Gold!

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Chuckey-Doak FFA Chapter for being the East Tennessee Regional Champion Team in the Conduct of Chapter Meetings LDE (Leadership Development Event) competition! This remarkable achievement comes after their impressive performance, where they placed 2nd in the district contest and then went on to earn the gold medal at the regional contest. We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments! 

Due to their exceptional performance, the team is advancing to the state competition, and we eagerly anticipate celebrating their future accomplishments! The members of this team have worked extremely hard both in and outside of school to prepare for this competition, demonstrating incredible dedication and resilience. 

The Conduct of Chapter Meeting event is an outstanding opportunity designed for freshmen, emphasizing leadership development while introducing FFA members to parliamentary procedure. Participants learn how to conduct efficient meetings and develop essential communication skills. 

In this event, a team of seven students from one chapter demonstrates the proper use of FFA opening and closing ceremonies. Each member has specific officer responsibilities during the presentation, including President Boone Ricker, Vice President Hayleigh Seidl, Secretary Jaelyn Berryhill, Treasurer Connor Hall, Sentinel Riley Dean, Advisor Corbin Brown, and Reporter Megan Dudley. Their performance is evaluated by a panel of judges. 

Additionally, each participant takes a written exam that covers officer duties, meeting room preparation, and parliamentary procedure. This comprehensive approach ensures that participants gain valuable experience and knowledge, making it an exceptional learning opportunity. 

Congratulations once again to the Chuckey-Doak FFA Chapter’s Conduct of Chapter Meeting Team for their outstanding achievement! We look forward to witnessing their continued success at the state level! The state level competition will be held during the state convention week March 23-25.
