Happy New Years from the Chuckey-Doak Black Knight family! 2024 was eventful for a lot of people in our community, so we can all agree it is time to ring in the new year. New Year’s resolutions are something that most families around the world fulfill every year. Some resolutions can be small, like just simply trying to go to the gym more; there are also more difficult ones like wanting to travel to different countries within the new year. Some resolutions can lead people to become better for themselves and others because their resolutions can hold them accountable. Chuckey-Doak students and staff also participate in the New Years trend! What is your New Year’s resolution?

After interviewing some of the students and staff here at CD, you can see there is a pattern of positive outlooks for the new year. As stated by most students that were interviewed, New Year’s resolutions can be personal but also can just be something they want to be better at or with. Accomplishing bettering yourself and situations that you went through the year before can be very special to someone. Here at Chuckey-Doak High School, students and staff display confident and positive positions they want to put themselves in for 2025. It is bittersweet holidays and moments like this that show how much humans as a whole want what is best for themselves and the people around them. What a time to be proud to be part of the Black Knight family!
