CDHS Hosts Prom Night

On April 26, 2025, our prom committee, chaired by Mrs. Carlson, hosted CDHS prom. The prom theme from this year was Vegas Magic! Prom is always a huge event for our school. During our prom, juniors and seniors from Chuckey-Doak are allowed to come if they purchase a prom ticket. From there, they are allowed to bring anyone as long as they are in high school or younger than 21. We hosted our prom this year at the Warehouse at Wilson Hill. The venue was truly beautiful, with room inside and outside. Compared to other years, we had quite the number of dancers on the floor this year; everyone had a lot of fun.

This year’s Prom Queen and King were Brayden Collins and Trinity Vanheel! Our students vote during prom for our king and queen. We are so happy for this couple! They got to share a dance together to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.” Shortly after they shared the dance, other couples were allowed to join them on the dance floor.

All of the students that we interviewed, claimed that they had a great time! If you didn’t attend, you definitely should have. We had different types of finger food including Zaxby’s chicken, cheeses, crackers, dips, along with different meats like pepperoni, vegetables, and fruits. The decorations this year were spot on with neon signs, and a bunch of places to take pictures. We even had a photobooth machine that you could take pictures with and have the photo gallery sent to your phone number. BK Media was on hand to take photos so that everyone could enjoy their evening.

The smiles were all around this prom; thank you to our prom committee that put in all of the work to make this possible for our students. Students who requested photos can receive photos taken by Ms. Pollock, Tayvin, and Khloe through a Google Drive folder that will be sent out. Be on the lookout for awesome pictures of you and your date or friends in the prom yearbook page! Prom is always a night to remember for CDHS, and we can’t wait to see what next year holds!
