CDHS hosts Senior Awards Night

On April 29th, CDHS hosted their senior awards night. During the awards night, the seniors sat in alphabetical order together as a class. In the beginning of the ceremony, scholarships were handed out from different colleges. Some colleges that handed out scholarships were ETSU, Tusculum, Walters State, and Carson-Newman. Some seniors even received multiple scholarships from multiple schools. 

After the scholarships were awarded, teachers and staff members began to hand out awards to seniors for classes taken here at Chuckey-Doak. They also handed out departmental awards to seniors that teachers felt excelled and succeeded in the specific departments. Getting the departmental award is a great accomplishment! Hard work and dedication definitely pays off in the end if you receive awards. 

All of the Seniors were recognized for their accolades and cords at the end of the ceremony. Thank you to everyone who attended this special event and thank you to the seniors that showed up. Congratulations to the class of 2025! We are so proud of you!
