On August 19th, Chuckey-Doak High School had its first football game of the year against county rival, North Greene High School. The game took place in Lower Afton, giving our team the home-field advantage. The Knights came out with a bang, scoring first against the Huskies, creating a lead that lasted the rest of the game.

The team was led by running back Brayden Greene. He was a force on the field, rushing for 270 yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 rushing attempts. Quarterback Kiptyn Ball threw for 154 yards on 12-17 passing with 2 touchdowns. Dom Hanhlen and Skylar Davis both caught a touchdown from Kiptyn.

While the game was going on, the Black Knights cheerleaders were doing amazing, cheering on the team. They did each cheer with perfection and performed routines to their best ability. Their energy definitely boosted the morale of the Chuckey-Doak football team.

The fans were ecstatic about this performance. The local rivalry was heated throughout the game. North Greene and Chuckey-Doak both gave good strikes to each other on the scoreboard. Eventually, the Knights came out on top, making the final score for the game 39-30. Good luck to the Black Knights in their future games!
