This season, the girls’ soccer team has had a rough stretch of games, but has been coming around as a team and improving their game. Battling through the opponents and improving at plays through every game, the Lady Black Knights are halfway through their season, coming strong to every stadium or field they play at.

The Lady Knights had a slow start to their season, but the team is making advancements at practice and is disciplined to come into the second half of their season and make big plays and win a lot of games. The girls push themselves hard all year round and are dedicated to having a good season this year.

On Friday, the 12th of September, the Lady Knights participated in their first tournament, the Blue Ridge Classic Tournament. The first game they played was against Lakeway Christian Academy, which they won 1-0. The next game, the Lady Knights battled hard but were unable to score a tie against Elizabethton’s girls’ soccer team, finishing 0-0. The third game was another hard-fought loss for the Lady Knights. Battling their way into the last minute, they ended up losing 0-2 to Morristown East.

The Knights are a young, developing team this year. They are coming through their season strong and are looking forward to building on the legacy of the Chuckey Doak High School girls’ soccer team. Their team consists of a lot of underclassmen who stepped up to the plate this year. They have a small number of upperclassmen who are putting in a good work ethic this year. The team is full of great potential and skill this season, and is confident to advance through the season, making good plays and changes.
