The Cross Country season for Chuckey-Doak High School is in full swing, with one of the largest number of members in years at the high school. Multiple PR’s have been set and previous records have been broken. This is a huge milestone for the season and the team as a whole for this year.

Above are some highlights and pictures from the cross-country season, showing how it is progressing so far.

Vloggers Jesus Roajs and Shianne Painter interviewed Logan Malone, Ayen Holifield, Landon Brown, and Collin Lovins about their ongoing season. Athletes were asked about their favorite race, PRs, and how they personally think the season is going.

Cross country in high school is an exhilarating experience that blends endurance, strategy, and team spirit. Every race is a test of mental toughness and physical grit, as runners push through hills, trails, and unpredictable weather. The excitement builds with each meet—whether it’s the thrill of passing a competitor in the final stretch or the camaraderie of cheering teammates across the finish line. It’s not just about speed; it’s about heart, resilience, and the shared journey of improvement. For many students, cross country becomes a source of pride and unforgettable memories, where personal bests and team victories are celebrated with equal passion.
