The soccer team has been showing noticeable improvements with each game. The players are making better decisions with the ball and demonstrating a clear understanding of their positioning. They are communicating more effectively during the game and cooperating with one another.

On Thursday, March 26th, the boys played against Cosby. After a challenging first half, the team found its rhythm and played with more confidence. They moved the ball effectively, made smarter runs, and appeared much more comfortable overall. The second half showcased a cleaner and more assured performance, culminating in an impressive 9-0 victory for Chuckey-Doak.

Senior Dom Hahnlen scored four goals and provided one assist. Senior Jesus Rojas recorded five assists and scored a remarkable goal off a free kick from nearly midfield that sailed over the goalkeeper’s head—some are calling it the “Goal of the Year.” Junior Ryland Grindstaff contributed with one goal and one assist, while junior Kaleo Toscanodulanto, sophomore Benji Merril, and freshman Calvin Odenthal each scored one goal to cap off the game.

The improvement in the team’s coordination and decision-making was evident, as they effectively utilized their formations and created numerous scoring opportunities. Looking ahead, the team aims to build on this momentum in their upcoming matches.
