Members of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) look forward to the state convention each year as a highlight of their involvement in agricultural education. This event brings together students from across the state to celebrate their achievements, develop leadership skills, and connect with others who share a passion for agriculture. For many members, attending the convention is both an exciting trip and a meaningful opportunity to grow personally and professionally.

Preparation for the state convention often begins weeks or even months in advance. Students practice for competition, sharpen their public speaking skills, and finalize projects they will present. Advisors Chase Murray and Larkin Clemmer also work closely with students to ensure they are ready to represent their chapter with gratification and professionalism.
The CDHS FFA chapter accomplished many things at the state convention: Parliamentary Procedures, 6th in the state; Ag Education, 2nd in the state; Agricultural Sales, 5th in the state; Bull Pen Challenge, 6th in the state; and Exemporaneous Public Speaking, 5th in the state. Other accomplishments include Milk Quality & products, 3rd in the region; Agronomy, 4th in the region; and Quiz Bowl, 4th in the region.
One of the Chuckey-Doak FFA Chapter Officers, Sapana Das, put our school on the map by being elected Tennessee FFA State Reporter and winning the Tennessee State Star in Agribusiness.

Attending the FFA state convention leaves a lasting impact on students. They return home with new ideas, stronger confidence, and a deeper appreciation for agriculture and leadership. Many members feel more motivated to take on responsibilities within their chapter and community. Overall, the state convention is more than just an event- it is an experience that helps shape the future of young leaders in agriculture.
