This season, the Chuckey-Doak High School tennis team is making notable improvements because of their hard work and determination. With a mix of experienced players and promising newcomers, the team has shown remarkable growth and resilience throughout the year.

The tennis team, like many of our other teams, is a young team striving for improvement. “I mean, it’s going pretty well, I mean, it’s tough we’re young, but we’re improving every day,” says sophomore Khloe Henderson. Tennis isn’t just about winning matches; it’s about taking that loss or win and paying attention to the things you can work on and do better. This team is a great example of that.

Angie Beets and Paige Smiley proudly coach the Chuckey-Doak tennis team, leading their players with dedication and a passion for the sport. This year, the school made a major investment in its athletic program by installing brand-new tennis courts right beside the soccer field. The courts are noticeably larger than the old ones, freshly painted with crisp lines, and equipped with brand-new nets ready for competitive play.

The players and coaches are thrilled about the upgrade. With more courts available, the team can now run more efficient practices, accommodate larger groups, and host more competitive matches without interruption. This improvement will enable the tennis team to become confident and assertive players.
