Throughout the school year, the Chuckey-Doak High School Fine Arts Program has been extremely successful. From performances to practices, each student involved has put in immense effort. The fine arts program consists of four parts: art, theatre, chorus, and band.
The Greene County Schools Art Show was held at Doak Elementary School on Friday, May 1st. This annual event brought together artwork from students all across the county, with several outstanding contributions from Chuckey-Doak High School. The show featured a vibrant array of media, including detailed drawings, expressive paintings, and imaginative 3D projects, all of which reflected the students’ dedication and artistic growth. Each piece on display showcased not only careful planning and consistent technique but also a unique perspective and creative vision. The art program, led by Paige Smiley, continues to encourage students to explore their artistic abilities and share their work with the community, making the show a memorable and enriching experience for everyone who attended.

Our Chuckey-Doak Theatre has just concluded its production of “Willy Wonka Jr.” The students demonstrated remarkable dedication and enthusiasm, putting in countless hours of effort throughout the semester to bring the show to life. From the moment scripts were distributed to the opening night, Cari Allen guided, mentored, and encouraged every participant. The entire cast and crew grew not only as performers but also as a close-knit team, learning the value of collaboration, creativity, and perseverance. This memorable production showcased the talent and commitment of our students and the unwavering support of our dedicated theatre director, making it a truly unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

As our 2025-2026 school year comes to an end, the chorus students get to take many dedicated memories and performances with them. These kids have worked hard to show growth, build confidence, and strengthen their voices and relationships with each other. They have pushed each other to try new techniques and have improved with each rehearsal and concert. Beyond music, the chorus serves as a place where the students bond and support one another. Even though the students play a big role, the sponsor, Cari Allen, also brings a lot of determination, confidence, and assistance to the table. Chuckey-Doak continues to thrive in providing the perfect programs and sponsors that will best serve our community.

The band has always been a safe place for many students throughout the years. It brings together students from all different grades and backgrounds. It teaches life lessons such as discipline, patience, and confidence. From football games to competitions, these events showcase what they have learned. The director, Landon Brady, has built strong connections and relationships with the band members. He has led them through many hardships and challenges, especially with the seniors this year. This organization will always be an important part of Chuckey-Doak High School.
