As basketball season opens up for Chuckey-Doak High School, they had their first game of the season against Kachea. Both the boys and the girls had a slow start, but ended up finding their rhythm later in the game to come back and bring home a win for the Black Knights!
Here are a few of the boys basketball players, Ryland Grindstaff and Chance Malone, interviewed by vloggers Shianne Painter and Jesus Rojas to discuss how their game went and how they think they can improve for their next upcoming game.
Throughout the entire game, there were key plays from multiple young players, and numerous game-winning free throws! There is so much young talent on the team, and knowing that they have a well-balanced talent on team from freshmen to seniors helps change the game to an extreme. We haven’t had one in a while as a boys’ basketball team.
Next, here are Shianne and Jesus to interview a few of our girls’ basketball players, Carlene Bishop and Kimberly Puente, to talk about how their first game went.
The girls’ team plans on learning from their first game and conveying their playing style to practice to improve for their next game! They are super excited to see how their season goes!
All in all, both the girls and the boys brought home the moon for the black Knights’ opening season basketball game here at Chuckey-Doak High School! This is a huge win, not only for the basketball players, but the high school! We are super excited to see what the future season will bring and go, Black Knights!
