This quarter at Chuckey-Doak High School, the lessons from Mr. Murray, Ms. Wilder, and Mr. Miller were the highlights that made learning exciting and meaningful. Mr. Murray’s landscaping lesson was amazing because it gave students hands-on experience with plants and garden design. He explained how different plants grow and how landscaping can improve outdoor spaces, making the lesson both practical and interesting. It was inspiring to see how nature and creativity come together in landscaping.

Ms. Wilder’s squid dissection lesson was another standout moment. It was fascinating to explore the anatomy of a squid up close and learn about its unique features. The hands-on dissection helped students understand marine biology in a way that textbooks alone can’t provide. This lesson brought science to life and encouraged curiosity about the underwater world, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Mr. Miller’s Prom Promise lesson was powerful and important. He talked about making smart and respectful choices during prom season, emphasizing responsibility and the impact of our actions. The lesson encouraged students to think carefully about their decisions and showed the value of respect and safety. It was a meaningful reminder that prom is not just a fun event but also a time to act with integrity. Mr. Miller’s students helped with the county-wide event.

Together, these lessons made the quarter at Chuckey-Doak High School truly special. Each teacher brought unique knowledge and passion that engaged students in different ways. From hands-on learning to important life lessons, these classes helped students grow both academically and personally, making the school week one to remember.
