The EMS class, led by Mr. Miller, gives students an introduction to the exciting and important world of emergency medical services. Through lessons, discussions, and hands-on activities, students learn how emergency responders help people during accidents and other critical situations.

In addition to classroom learning, students have opportunities to explore practical EMS skills. They may study topics such as first aid, patient assessment, emergency procedures, and the proper use of medical equipment. For football games around Greene County, Mr. Miller guides students through real-world situations while helping them understand the importance of staying calm, prepared, and focused during potential emergencies.

The EMS Club provides students with hands-on experiences beyond the classroom. Club members can participate in service projects that build confidence and leadership, often meeting with local health associations to expose students to professional healthcare environments. The club also encourages students to work together and learn more about possible careers in healthcare and public safety.

Under Mr. Miller’s leadership, the EMS class and club help students develop essential skills that can benefit them throughout life. Whether students plan to pursue careers in emergency medicine or simply want to be better prepared to help others, the program teaches valuable lessons about service, courage, and responsibility.
